CARELESS – streaming on Netflix

A playful, politically charged documentary that follows a group of older Australians determined to age on their own terms, and stay out of the aged care system. At the centre is filmmaker Sue Thomson and her 89-year-old mother Margaret, whose wit and warmth anchor the film’s emotional core. Alongside them are Olivia (94) and her long-distance daughter Jane, care navigator Hanh and her client Beverly, and Italian couple Luciana and Mario, still deeply in love and desperate to stay at home together.
