HIGH GROUND will have its Australian Premiere at the opening night of the Brisbane International Film Festival on October 1 at GOMA

Inspired by true events, Stephen Johnson’s Aussie Western tells the story of Gutjuk (Jacob Junior Nayinggul), a young Indigenous man orphaned in childhood who is recruited by former soldier Travis (Simon Baker) to track down the leader of a Wild Mob – his uncle.
Shot in Kakadu Park and Arnhem Land, the film was produced by Maggie Miles, Yothu Yindi co-founder Witiyana Marika, Johnson, David Jowsey and Greer Simpkin.

HIGH GROUND will be released nationally in early 2021.
